This past week, Microsoft has finally released the full version of their free antivirus software, Microsoft Security Essentials, which replaces the Windows Live One Care. If you were lucky enough andyou wanted to try the beta version, all you have to do is an upgrade. If you are running Windows Server 2008, do not expect it to install on it. It will not. If you are running a webserver, I doubt you would run something like Microsoft Security Essentials as the antivirus software anyway. Microsoft Security Essentials is good enough for the average user. It runs silently in the background and you do not even know that it is there. Microsoft Security Essentials does not have the bells and whistles that are offered from other free or paid antivirus software. It’s job is just plain and simple.
Microsoft Security Essentials should not installed on computers that require security, such as corporate computers. For the average home user, it is just fine.
